Dances to burn your calories away

Everyone likes dancing, you can't deny it. Sure you might look silly if you aren't a professional dancer but hey, that's not what matters. What matters is that you are having fun while getting rid of some unwanted calories in order to help get your body fit and toned. Depending on the type of dance that you choose, no equipment is necessary. Just turn on some music and start dancing!

The only things that you'll even have to worry about are matching your style of dance that you choose with the right type of music and of course, your mood. The quicker the tempo, the quicker you have to move which means more burned calories for you. If you really want to burn some calories then you want something with a quicker tempo to get your heart rate up so that your body can get your blood pumping. It isn't only the style of dance or the music, but your weight and how long you dance that plays a major part in how many calories you'll burn while dancing.

Some dancing styles and their burned calories within 1 hour:

  • Ballroom- 150-220 (slow) and 250-320 (fast)
  • Belly Dancing- 270-320 calories (intense) 290-360 (slow)
  • Hip Hop- 370-610
  • Zumba- 350-650 (roughly)
  • Pole dancing- 250-350
  • Ballet- 380-450

Getting you heart rate up will increase blood flow so that your metabolism will kick in which makes it easier for you to tone your body up and to lose weight. People have been using dance to help them become healthier, toned, and more flexible. It is fun to do and helps to lower your blood pressure so it's great for anyone who tends to get stressed out easily. When you begin dancing it makes you stay focused on a lot of different things at once like movements, time, steps, and how your dancing makes you feel. Dancing can help take your mind off of things so you won't even be thinking about how fit you're becoming. You'll only be thinking about how much

fun you're having.

Compared to other workouts, dancing is one of the best ways to really get your heart beating and burn those calories. The number of calories that you burn will depend on how long you are willing to workout. Most workouts will usually focus on one part of your body like legs, arms, core, etc. Dancing is completely different because not only are you strengthening your outer body but also your inner body as well.

Benefits of dancing:

  • Brain development
  • Lungs
  • Muscles
  • Bone health
  • Legs

  • Posture
