In the entertainment industry, it's all about what you've done, what you're doing and what's coming next. So with several shows coming to a close this year, there are quite a few actors and actresses who are slated to work on new projects that we'll be sure not to miss. Here's a look at what is on the horizon when it comes to our favorite actor's/actresses' future endeavors.
Boardwalk Empire (HBO) – This prohibition-era HBO drama period piece is coming to a close this year, which will open up some free time for its leads. Knowing that Steve Buscemi is going to work no matter what, we'll focus on one of the best anti-heroes in the series, Richard Harrow (portrayed by Jack Huston). A true talent on screen and off, he's got Pride and Prejudice and Zombies coming out soon, and a string of other upcoming films that he'll likely steal a few scenes in.
Mad Men (AMC) – This Golden Globe- and Emmy-winning AMC drama will finally close the doors on the beautiful mind of Don Draper in 2015. However, Golden Globe winner Elisabeth Moss is maintaining a busy schedule, with a handful of films and a rumored role in the outrageously interesting second season of HBO's True Detective.
Parks and Recreation (NBC) – After seven seasons and a Golden Globe, it seems as if Parks and Recreation is ending on a high note, with the cast parting ways. But don't get too upset just yet. We will likely see much more of Chris Pratt, since he landed a role in the Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy franchise and is slated for a role in the highly anticipated upcoming Jurassic World movie.
Sons of Anarchy (FX) – Kurt Sutter expected his series to end on his terms in the seventh season. Thankfully, Ron Perlman has almost 10 projects on the way, and it's likely that 9 of them will include Mr. Perlman being a badass.
Glee (FOX) – Sadly, "Gleeks" are not having a say in how long their favorite popular songs can be covered since FOX is pulling the plug on the series after the sixth season. So before you hit up a local karaoke spot and sing out your blues, Lea Michele may contribute her voice to the film adaptation of Broadway's Wicked (which might give "Gleeks" a reason to sing in the future).
True Blood (HBO) – True Blood fans are going to have to figure out how to handle a world with one less show about vampires, since the series is removing its fangs from HBO this year. If you love the shirtless talent in the series, have no fear. Alexander Skarsgård is portraying Tarzan in the film titled – you guessed it – Tarzan.
Two and a Half Men (CBS) – Being a number one sitcom on television for five seasons in a row, the show decided to give other television shows a chance in its former time slot by ending its 12-season run. Amber Tamblyn is attached to Quentin Tarantino's upcoming film The Hateful Eight, which definitely sounds exciting given the buzz surrounding the film and the work Tarantino is known for.
