Stopping time, preventing disaster and going on an epic adventure is a destiny thrust upon many video game heroes. “Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands” made the gameplay so simple that it did not seem as if I had to work hard to survive.
In “Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands,” the Prince could stop the flow of water. He had access to many elements of sand power not introduced in previous games. It makes the gameplay so addictive that gamers could not help coming back for more.
No searching for power-ups
In past games, the Prince had to find different power-ups to increase his chances of survival and live long enough to achieve his goal. The Prince did not have to do that in Forgotten Sands because he could upgrade his sand powers, life and time meter when he got enough experience points to do so.
Also, the Prince did not have to pay attention to passageways behind certain walls and drapery that would not hide anything. “Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands” gave gamers everything they needed; it was good to be able to concentrate on using the sword’s ability to destroy the demonic masses.
Innate sand powers
“Prince of Persia: The Two Thrones” introduced new sand powers. Prince eventually found during his adventure, the Winds of Sand and the Sandstorm. Using these abilities were everything to me when I found them. It felt good to be able to unleash on my enemies and thin the herds while I was at it.
The Prince had access to the four elements, which he channeled through his various innate powers in Forgotten Sands. Earth, made the Prince impervious to harm. Ice; created a wave that can deal lethal damage to your enemies while fire allowed the Prince to create a trail of destruction that eventually killed enemies and the power of wind blew enemies away.
Control of water
“Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands” introduced another element that complemented the Prince’s arsenal of abilities, the power to control water. I can say that I was astounded by this ability because it allowed the Prince to get to higher places and get through obstacles that he could not before.
Incidentally, the power to control water also taught the gamer how to properly time everything from acrobatics in the air to freezing water, and it was a lesson that I am happy that I got the privilege to learn because it made the game more challenging which I welcomed.
Conclusion
“Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands” has introduced a lot of new features not seen before in previous games. The power to control water was welcome. Access the innate abilities of the elemental sands is what made the game great hence the addictive gameplay.
Every gamer who has ever heard of Prince of Persia should go and buy this game. It would make a welcome addition to any video game collection. I fell in love with the game the moment I researched it, which later led to me buying it.
