Social Media's Business Benefits

Facebook's connection to business

I remember a time when no one just hopped on Facebook or Twitter to get ahold of their friends and family. Instead, they would send a message or use their phone to tell everyone where to meet to meet or where they were. You would have to call someone – typically on their house phone – and hope they were there when you got there. Otherwise you would have to walk around or ride your bike to find your friends.

Nowadays, everyone uses social media. Businesses use social media to promote services and products, and people use it to connect with people all over the world. Social media has come a long way, and now there is not much you can do without it.

Now you can create stores through Facebook, send money to clients and friends and even call people. This is a huge transformation from your typical archaic corded house phone. Just imagine: in 10-15 years we may even be able to use holographic imaging to communicate to each other or use it to browse our newsfeeds and timelines.

Marketing through Snapchat

Then you have Snapchat, which allows you to see what everyone is doing from all over using pictures, video feeds and captions. It truly is amazing what social media allows you to do. A few people have made multi-billion dollar businesses using only social media forums.

With marketing tools and SEO marketing content right at your fingertips, business has never been easier Snapchat is a widely used business tool in social media marketing. It is easy to use and gives you a wide range of reach. With over 165 million users worldwide, I can see why this would be a popular tool in the business world today.

Companies making the switch

Companies are switching over to an internet-based industry. There are very few successful companies out there not using some form of social media within their business, from job listings and employee recruitment to content marketing and strategy. Uses for social media are everywhere these days.

Some companies are now solely app-based as well, like Uber. Social media forums provide a great link between business and customer, allowing for quick and easy communication, as well as an easy way to for customers to provide product reviews, comment on their satisfaction with the product, and even purchase the product.

The biggest benefit of social media use, though, is the word-of-mouth factor. These sites provide a great opportunity for people to talk about your business with other potential customers.

Accelerating the buyer's journey is another great effect social media has on business, as it allows the customer to see all your reviews and what you have to offer on a single page. This gives the customer a fast, simple way to decide whether to move forward and buy the product.

There are so many ways in which this tool has helped businesses thrive and will continue to do so in the future. Going from newspaper ads and phone book listings to where we are at today bodes well for what the future holds for linking business to social media platforms.
